Due to the start of the holidays, I had to miss watching anime for a while and this prevented the weekly rating post from being written. As I caught up on my backlog, I got confused by the numerous series I was following. Like I’ll miss out on episode 6 and start watching 7, only realising halfway through that I know not what’s going on. I also realised that some shows are so rubbish I only watched them because I was previously cooped up at home during the exams.

Oh yeah Happy Birthday Bjorn the worm!

Amatsuki - I somehow don’t have any motivation to watch this any longer. I’m stuck at episode 5. Probably dropping, since it’s at 9 or 10 now.

Blassreiter - I built up all my willpower and opened episode 7 only to realise I did not see episode 6. Quit.

Code Geass R2 - I did not miss any Code Geass of course, but the recent 1000000 Zero trick was bullshit. Surely bagchecks would be in place for such a ceremony! 4/5.

Crystal Blaze - Quit at episode 5. Does it get good?

Tower of Druaga - It’s rather mediocre now. Time to bring out the GONZO flamethrowers again eh? The jokes are dull, nothing much is happening (except for Ranger Curry’s death) and the action is average. I did watch a video of ALL 60 levels of the original Namco game!

Gintama - A whole arc got concluded during this post’s absence. The yakuza hikikomori episode which appeared to be a typical one-shot heart-warmer, then hinted at a long fighting arc with wicked men, turned out to be a dual episode manly heart-warmer. 5/5 as usual.

Golgo 13 - So, the G-string got cut! We should hire Golgo to sit at the beach and shoot out all the bikini strings. But the English violinist seriously got pwned badly considereing Golgo’s fees are in the millions and violinists aren’t exactly as rich as Gates. 4/5

Himitsu - Lack of incentive to watch again, but I should resume it soon.

Kaiba - OK, I don’t get the latest episode. I saw it when it aired and nobody had blogged it yet. So Vanilla and Chroniko died, but not before doing something? What was that? 5/5.

Kamen no Maid Guy - It got really terrible. The latest boobie episode was a slight improvement. 3/5.

Kanokon - Quit.

Kurenai - Brilliance. The truth is revealed, the Kuhouins are inbreeders! No wonder they are retarded. Ninja girl in a cool suit couldn’t fight as well as the other ninja girl. I was waiting for Shinkurou to use his powers, but he just lost like that. I guess this is not Naruto after all. 5/5.

Kyouran Kazoku Nikki - A oneshot episode about Chinese cooking assasins, which was similar to Yakitate Japan’s Japan #44. I would like more appearances by the jellyfish goddess, she’s intriguing. 4/5.

Macross Frontier - The love triangle heats up. But making the two girls transfer into the school is just lame. What also is the purpose of the sniper in space? He can’t aim at moving targets. He needs someone to immobilise his target. When or if he hits, the target only takes damage if he is a grunt. The purple robo didn’t take any damage despite being hit straight on. Why is there always a convenient object on which Michael can use as a sniping platform? 4/5.

Major 4th Season -I so, so much prefer the first 3 seasons. Professional sports is soulless garbage compared to school sports, as there is far more selfishness, money and worst of all, the "I can lose this since I have another 10 years in my career" mindset. Also, the story is now completely about Goro, there is no development on his team at all besides the occasional Sanders moment. 4/5.

Nabari no Ou - The white-haired boy is creepily good at being a ninja, compared to the spineless Tobari sensei who only appears to be interested in pretending to be a Naruto-type ninja.  3/5.

20 Faces no Musume - Ama-fucking-zingly good! This and Kurenai are truly the dark horses of the season. Everyone dies! 5/5.

Penguin Musume - I think i missed an episode in between but who cares? It seems that Nene is a perfect shrine maiden who never gets angry, can teleport and defeat evil monsters. 3/5.

Real Drive (RD Sennou Chousa) - Dropped. Boring. Like Ghost Hound. Which I need to continue…

SA - Aha! So Yahiro loves Akira, who loves Hikari, who is also loved by Kei. I quite like both Hikari and Akira too, so SA is still a good watch.

Shugo Chara -  The Jack is a spy. Nadeshiko is male. Utau is the bloodsister of Catboy. Diamond egg turns evil. Eru switches sides to join Amu. Yaya is a piece of shit. So many things happened in the last few episodes, meaning SC is interesting yet again. No more X-tama of the week episodes ever again please!

Soul Eater - I have a burning question. HOW DOES NOBODY NOTICES MEDUSA IS THE BAD WITCH? Even the anime bloggers around didn’t mention or even question this absurdity. She wasn’t disguised, had the same hairstyle and even releases snakes from her mouth in front of her students! I think we need more Black Star, Kid etc. Maka and Soul are boring. 4/5.

Toshokan Sensou - The long-haired girl (roommate) whose name I forget, voiced by Sawashiro Miyuki, is perfect I want her. The show does not make that much sense stilll though. 3/5.

Inari - The character designs are quite cute. Mubyo is cute. 3.5/5.

Special mention to Kara no Kyoukai - I saw it. It was boring, boring, boring except for the short massacre scene. Wouldn’t even call it a fighting scene such was the one-sideness. I look forward to the next episode as it should be revealing the past and explaining stuff.

@Macross Frontier: Blame capitalism and waste material being ejected into space

    Soul Eater’s Excalibur was hilarious.

    @tj han

I pointed that out to my friend and he was like zealously defending how they could not have possibly noticed Medusa’s features from that distance. *shrugs*

Personally I think Soul Eater is a good watch but that Medusa thingy was a slight irk to me. I might accept it if she was wearing a mask or something.

They should make a Soul Eater spinoff with Black Star, Kid and Excalibur.

I believe that originally, in the manga that is, the hood had covered her most of her face, because of all teh shadow and all (considering she was in front of the moon, thus lighting, even those from the street lighting, didn’t really show her face well.) Plus as a teacher, she was acting different as well. Don’t forget, she has that magic that covers her witch soul. I guess its like Superman and Clark Kent, come on, glasses won’t hide your face taht much =/;; but a goofy personality will apparently?

In Macross, i believe that Micheal actually didn’t hit him STRAIGHT ON, but grazed the side of the head piece. At least taht’s what I tell myself so i can sleep at night =];; As for the debri, well…Have the fleet actually moved on its position? It seems liek they are constantly in the same place?

    @silencers

He is, he just put it’s title as “inari”.

Also, in nijuu mensou no musume, that goddam mother probably have to friggin learn some new trick in the dam book. No woman with a fugly hairdo would be stupid enough to put poison in friggin campbell soups for 3 years!!? She’s annoying as hell.

Oh. *shrinks* I didn’t see that. My bad :p

IMO Kara no Kyoukai, i think, is meant for fans of the original novel. Those of us who can’t read Japanese are gonna need to wait for another 2-3 films for it to make sense. I don’t get it, there’s too much mystery, and too little things to appreciate [good music, super-styled fights, strawberry ice cream tsundere moment].

Not worth flaming or shooting down, but doesn’t deserver much praise either.

Do not use any < and > for your own sake. It will end the comment there and then. Also, there is an automatic IQ filter which weeds out comments made by those who accidentally got transported from the stone age.
