I’m Suspicious… Is There Any Way to Remove Google Search Listings of Bad Reviews?

Loading ...Now, say I were a company looking to publish a show on DVD in English and the reviews of it online are all flaming ones ranting on about how shit that show was. Would I, the company, be able to manipulate Google to not show that the negative reviews?
I’m really curious because as we all know, one of my most hilarious and popular posts was a review on Koizora, and it garnered a huge amount of fangirl hate, which was really awesome. For the search terms "Koizora" and "Koizora review", it was in the top 3 for more than a year, which resulted in nice hits but more importantly, great comments about how I don’t understand the "love" story of gang rape and hair gel.
Recently, while reading an article about how this guy in America wrote a whole novel on his smartphone, which is really lame considering Japan has been doing it for years, I remembered Koizora - one of the most popular cellphone novels of course. Eager to see how my search ranking has been holding up in the face of increased popularity since its English DVD release, I was dismayed to find that the post was completely gone from Google. Even a search of "Koizora riuva" didn’t turn it up, instead brought some other of my posts referring to it up.
How could this be possible? Considering the amount of traffic it got, and the amount of time visitors spent typing hate comments about killing my entire family, I was sure they would provide the impetus for Google to continue putting the page high up.
Btw do go to the page and read the comments, it’ll make your day and show you how dumb the world truly is.
For the techie kings out there, anyone care to explain this suspicious phenomenon?

Do not use any < and > for your own sake. It will end the comment there and then. Also, there is an automatic IQ filter which weeds out comments made by those who accidentally got transported from the stone age.

Are you using the wordpress SEO plugin? You should if you haven’t been doing so. Also, did you tag your post using tags such as “Koizora” and “Review”?
If you’re doing so, I don’t see why there should be a problem.
Double, it’s a secret, but our wordpress version is so old that it doesn’t have tags. It’s not about SEO, more like the page is completely delisted on Google. I smell a rat here.

If rats are really out to remove all traces of your review, they’re doing a sloppy-ass job of it.
I searched for it and it comes up. You have to click “More results from riuva.com”. This is probably because the post is old. Google probably shows the newest posts from your site on the subject because if you rewrote about it, most people would want to see the updated information and not your original review. It hasn’t been removed; you just have to stop resting on your laurels.
BTW, update your WP. Version 2.2.2 is almost 2 years old, so that’s just freaking lazy. The new version has one-click updates.
Looks like the pigeons stopped eating the bread crumbs at that page, either that or they decided riuva is no longer relevant to promoting koizora.

Google has its own regulating algorithm. Some say it’s based on frequency of updates, some say it’s based on the amount of crosslinkings. SEO software is everywhere but no one actually knows the actual algorithm of Google’s engine. Anyone who does, however, will be friggin’ rich. Google probably thought your article was rubbish and old.
Go ask Danny Choo lol, he should be an expert at search engines.
You can try to manipulate the results via SEO and all that, but Google’s algorithm is a black box so almost nobody other than people working for them knows how it behaves, and sometimes the search results behave strangely. Sometimes your page will be at the top, and then disappear from all listing, and then reappear after a few weeks. It’s just the way it is unfortunately.
Yes, the pigeon thing is a joke.
As to delist bad reviews, no.
It sure takes guts to have an opinion on the internet.
I doubt if there is such a way…maybe the company will try to hire some people to write reviews and post it on their blogs…

Three days ago, I wouldn’t have know what the hell you were talking about since I spent the last 6 years in Ang Moh land and wasn’t here when the movie was making fan girls weep. I just read the manga few days ago and the whole time I was cussing and swearing at the girl and guy. The guy is a major prick and the girl is fucking stupid. I kept hoping that the girl will gain a brain or the guy will grow some integrity. Now that I have read your old review, I shall skip the rest of the torture. So he has cancer, that doesn’t make it all right to screw around with her life. He still behaved like a prick after knowing the truth. I can think of a million ways to handle the issue and treat the girl in a decent way despite being in that horrible situation.
This turned out to be quite a rant because I just read it so the hate is fresh. And I had no idea it is so popular until I read this article and googled it. Now I am even more pissed.

Anyway i dun think Google removes any content from their search engines just because the companies pay them… i mean come on even the turkish government couldn’t get the video that insulted the turkish founder of being gay to be banned on youtube… so i dun see how corporations are able to do so with money…
oh for ya info it’s done not once but twice… the government had their court to produce a court order to ban youtube website just because of that video… and jeopardizing their chances to enter the EU… shows how many retards/idiots are running the world now… and similarly prowling the web trolling as well
