Take that! I now own the largest TV in my house and am sitting right in front of it. Now I just need a new computer that can run giant movie files smoothly, since my Thinkpad X61 "Sylvana" can’t really cut it for games and high-res anime. It’s a Samsung 32 inch LCD TV, the model name is a bunch of numbers. It’s quite inexpensive at only 530 dollars, which is slightly less than the PS3 I intend to use it for as well.

Now I can see Queen’s Blade titties in a larger size. More importantly, Eden of the East and other releases now look really fantastic. I just have to get my hands on a 3.5mm jack that goes both ways, so I can have my laptop send the sound over to the TV as well and a HDMI cable for the PS3. Not sure if the latter is needed though, since the 3 coloured wires do work well enough.

I can’t believe this upgrade was only 500+ dollars, which is less than the price of most of my camera lenses. I think I should sell some of them, and figures. 3-4 figurines = this TV! The TV shall be named Selvaria.

The angle makes it look small, but if you’re in that seat and have watched anime for the past 1 year on the 13 inch screen, it’s a huge mindblowing trip. In fact, I think I’m getting dizzy.

I’m stuck with 22 inch wide Though it still beats those laptop monitors many folks keep using.

Unlike a television you tend to sit close to your computer monitor though. You might end up getting headaches lolz. When I first got my monitor I was mighty dissapointed that my computer had trouble running BluRay stuff lol…turned out I just needed a better video decoder. Thank the heavens for coreavc.

I have a 28″ monitor, and it looks much like what you have there, tho I think yours is better quality (and obv. 4″ larger).

530SGD? Thats, like, a quarter of what I ended up spending on my current 32″ HDTV (though, to be fair, mines probably far nicer ^^;)

Three coloured wires? You aren’t using the Composite cables which came with the PS3, are you? HDMI will be a massive upgrade over that, in so much as you’d actually have an HD picture, rather than not.

Unless you mean Component, which technically has three coloured wires for picture, but five overall once you include the two audio cables. HDMI will not really be a noticeable upgrade over that.

DIGI YES . NO WONDER MY PS3 IMAGE LOOKS SHIT. Yeah I realised mine is composite! It doesn’t allow for anything above the SD resolution, fuck. Time for some HDMI cables. Tricky wording eh? I got confused with Component and Composite. For a moment I thought my TV wasn’t HD ready. Also, I’m sure yours is much better, mine is entry-level and an older model as well. Don’t have cash man.

Omo yes I win. Actually no, LCD monitors are far better than LCD TVs.

Lol when I saw the photo I first thought: hmmm you use a netbook to watch the anime? and then I read that it was a 32 inch TV. Remember to sit back a bit though or you really might get dizzy.

Are you sure that “Selvaria” is an apt nickname for a 32″ TV???

Use HDMI or DVI, even the component cables I’m using for my PS3 gives me about 720p at best…

Seeing how you will be enjoying good visual quality, I would recommend Devil May Cry 4! If you are a fan of slash-em’-up games, DMC4 will look wicked.

Do not use any < and > for your own sake. It will end the comment there and then. Also, there is an automatic IQ filter which weeds out comments made by those who accidentally got transported from the stone age.
