It is crunch time as Yui battles to get over the cold she had contracted at the worst of times, in a desperate bid to recover just in time to join the rest of the Afternoon Teatime girls in the upcoming School Festival concert they’re holding for the second time. But as the clock ticks down upon the hour when the Light Music Club have to ascend the stage one more time, how will Yui make it in time to put a cap on two years together as a band, as a club, as a group of irreplacable friends? How will 12 weeks of tea, cake, and music be brought to a conclusion this day?

K-ON!, Episode 12.

Fortunately, Yui made in back in good time to finish up the necessary practice with the girls…..except all is not that it seemed.

Somehow, I feel like Sawachan-sensei missed her calling in life. Putting her ‘perverted ojisan’ tastes aside, she certainly has good sense when it comes to matters of fashion, and I’d bet being able to tell another female’s three sizes just by looking is definitely a gift which could certainly be useful in that field. I mean, if we guys had half her ability to tell another girl’s cup size on sight, we would certainly be saved a lot of trouble, if you know what I mean.

I wonder if perfect pitch is something that runs in the family; Ui certainly didn’t have to give up reliability of character in exchange for the same gift that her sister does. Apparently Ritsu had the right idea all along when she first suggested reeling Ui in to the club.

Unfortunately, getting over a cold isn’t as easy as it sounds, and for the first time, they had to seriously consider having Yui sit out the concert, now that with Azusa in the team, they do have that option. It would have been a pity, but as ENOZ might testify, better half the band than nothing at all.

Yet it’s not so easy to shake the feeling that there’s something missing, isn’t it?

Fortunately, Yui does manage to make her return in the nick of time, and for real this time. And so, with oh so little time left in both sense of the word, it is time for them to head into the last performance we’ll ever see from these girls for a while.

Yes, the MugiVision virus certainly is a success in more ways than one.

Of course, Yui wouldn’t be Yui if she didn’t come with a mishap as part of the package. Oh, it probably doesn’t hurt to mention that Ui in particular also proved that an inability to keep the beat, cute nicknames, and DFC also comes as part of Yui’s package.

Which means that, as she rushes back home to get the only guitar she can possibly play with, it’s time for Sawako-sensei to show her reliability in the conventional way for once, and stand in for her at the last minute. And while she is doing so…..

….Yui, as well as all of us, walk once again down memory lane, down the path which led her to this place at this point in time. How she had started at the exact same point on her orientation day one and a half years ago, rushing to school by the exact same path, and how she had met a motley band of girls with whom she would make memories precious like no other, whether she knew it then or not. And this day, she retraces her steps all the way back to the people, the friends, who brightened up her life like nothing else would ever quite do in the same way.

For it is with these friends, old and new, that she has created her Fuwa Fuwa Time, her Light and Fluffy Time, together with, and though they may not be anything special, they are certainly irreplacable memories. Playing around, making music, such things would not have been without these important people, and life would have been all the poorer for it.

So therefore, while all things must come to an end sooner or later, and it is the time for this little tale about 5 girls with a dream of music to come to its conclusion, still….just for a while more. A little more. Mou ikkai! Dear God, please give us the dream time that belongs only to us, just for a while more!

And with it, this is it, it’s time to wrap up the show! We’ve loved these girls once; never forget that love! May they always make the music of their lives together forever! Ascaloth of RIUVA, signing out!

You can’t tell cup sizes easily since those stinkin’ females have their arsenal of paddings, fancifully shaped cups and other devices, to alter the perceived size. Be it increase or decrease.

So afterall the extra episode doesn’t seem filler after all, if they animated the “super-mustache” i hoe they animate the “eraser pitch” that one made me lol a lot xD

I agree that Ui is better (at guitar) than Yui is taking the joke too far. While talent can play a big part, practice is abosolutely much bigger to the point that it’s hard to believe Ui can be better with “touch it a few times”. But well, watching K-ON! seriously is the wrong way to do it, so I can ignore that.

i actually enjoyed their performance in this episode ^^ my leg is stepping with the rhythem ^^

Do not use any < and > for your own sake. It will end the comment there and then. Also, there is an automatic IQ filter which weeds out comments made by those who accidentally got transported from the stone age.
