[Tenshi_MKII] Feeling Ronery? Here’s your solution.

From the left: Tsundere? Oneesama? Moe?
The solution: Love Plus from Konami. I guess some of us have at least played a dating sim once in our lives, be it Tokimeki Memorial (SFW) or Shuffle! (NSFW). For those who played, I’m sure you all know that the game ends when you get the girl or having screwed her for a few times before you get the desired ending. Love Plus is something way different; the gameplay is actually split into 2 parts. Firstly, you choose a girl out of the 3 given and try to woo her and finally when you get her, all the fun begins. You get to do whatever couples do, going out on a date, talk to her via the mic (I’m very skeptic about this feature, I remembered playing Code Geass on the DS and I scold BAKA and Kallen finally moves despite calling her name correctly for a few times) on the DS and so on.
I got a digital copy of it and decided to try it out. When you play the game, you will turn your DS 90 degrees anti-clockwise (like reading a book). Different from normal dating sim games, the characters are not static, which improves gameplay a little. How you spend the day is by deciding what you will do (You are allowed to do 5 activities a day), be it sports, studying, etc… Also I have read in some reviews that you are allowed to touch the girl (To Love Ru, anyone?), and she won’t be at your beck and call since she’s programmed to be as realistic as possible.
Oh yes, this game will never end, so there’s endless fun loops more likely. Thinking of getting a 2D Waifu that you can talk to? This is your perfect game, you can even bring your waifu anywhere without embarrassing yourself (Bringing a dakimakura out is for the “braves”).
PS: They sound like Hatsune Mikus when they called my name. D:

Do not use any < and > for your own sake. It will end the comment there and then. Also, there is an automatic IQ filter which weeds out comments made by those who accidentally got transported from the stone age.

WTF need DS nao…
You can make them say your name? How’s that work, you put your name in katakana then they read it?
There are 3 inputs: Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana. They called by my surname so far, no idea how they will call me when they are closer to me.
If someone translates this game, I will be a happy, happy person.
And the voices of the three potential girl friends are outstanding. Not just Tange Sakura (Sakura in Cardcaptor Sakura) and Minaguchi Yuko (Sailor Saturn), but the new most beautiful voice in anime: 18-year-old Hayami Saori, who was Musubi in Sekirei and Saki in Eden of the East.
Im really, really interested in this game since they promised very unique features like adapting to players behaviors and whatnot.
Since you played it already…Any Chance a Weeaboo like me could have some fun with it?
I dont see Konami bringing this to the West
Can I get her to call me onii-chan? ;_;
The honorific/surname works the way they do in most dating SIMS where it reflects the progress of your relationship and the character’s personality. I think all the girls changes to using your given name after you clear the first portion of the game.
Also the name thing is two-fold. if you pick a non-standard name, they will try to pronounce it hatsune-miku style by combining the hiragana/katakana you use. there are also a bunch of pre-recorded names you can choose from, as most of the common names in japan are available. YLike, Yamamoto or Kenji or whatever. Those are individually recorded so they sound a LOT more natural.
Onii-chan? Actually…it happens in the game naturally.
I got to the second part w/ Rinko (Tange’s character) and her character reminds me like a more realistic/cuter Vita o.O and it wasn’t even who I wanted to go for the first time /lol
The girls do respond to your choices in the game and make permanent changes, which is really neat.
Like hashi said, Saori’s voice is really awesome in the game. Totally junai-moe prim but cute ojousama character to go with, perfect fit.
hm..this game looks quite interesting…but I don’t think they will be ever introduced in America.
