While surfing Crunchyroll for my new habit, Asian dramas, I stumbled upon a link to a new online dating service that seeks to link geeks to other geeks or geek admirers. To tell you the truth, it doesn’t sound like a half bad idea.

The website presents itself as an innovative way for geeks to meet their own kind. It comes complete with a profile search section and nifty little articles about geekdom, like the top ten reasons geeks make wonderful lovers. My first reaction was quiet intrigue. Then I realize that there seems to be a glaring problem with the sites premise. Which is that geeks don’t typically like other geeks romantically, they usually repine over and over for the non-geek of their dreams. So will the site be successful? Who knows, but I still think it’s not a bad idea. Maybe a bunch of non-geeks who are interested in geeks will join the sites community to bridge the gap between geekdom and the rest of the world. After all, I’ve long believed that there will be a time that when geekdom will be more and more culturally accepted, and it seems to be happening in droves.

So what do you guys think?

After reading both posts, I’m thinking G-man can either mean two things.
    1) Gintama-man
    2) Geek-man

I have the feeling that it’s some sort of a scam. Well, Geek to Geek dating that’s advertised seems to be a scam.

I say so because they seem to have duplicate sites. One is geek to geek, other is that to that, or this-to-that. Then a random super model girl image is put in one of the pictures.

Do not use any < and > for your own sake. It will end the comment there and then. Also, there is an automatic IQ filter which weeds out comments made by those who accidentally got transported from the stone age.
