This is yet another gallery of a non-Riuva item. Figure property of Tsubaki and he took most of the pictures too. But with my camera.

This is again, a Kotobukiya product. Released in August 2006 for 4200 yen, this 1/8 figurine of the detestably irritating Shana from Shakugan no Shana is more faithful to the original artwork by Itoh Noiji, rather than the trainwreck that calls itself the anime version.

This figure has a sitting posture and thus is rather compact. It comes with a base, not shown here, but it is the free type with no attachment to the figure. Other accessories include a separate unopened melonpan packet, which is bullshit because only one side shows any detail. The other side is an empty hole. As many have complained, what’s the point? It makes a rather interesting hat though.

The two main features of this figure are the hair and the face. The hair is extremely long and looks like the man-eating plants from Planet Chimera. Only Rider can have such hair, fool Shana! I think it’s actually a bit overdone, because it takes away cuteness and serenity from an otherwise tranquil figure. There is a variant, the Flame Haze version, that has red hair. The face has humongous eyes, loyal to Itoh Noiji’s artstyle. I suppose this is what they call MOE.

The uniform, Alastor and Melonpan are all rather well-done, with great detail but also a few niggly flaws such as uncrisp edges. And the skirt is removable.

I didn’t buy this figure because I hate Shana and I think the versions with swords are much cooler. I don’t like the pose. Anime tends to make girls sit in the most unlady-like positions, for the only purpose of revealing their underwear. I find this disturbing and crude. True fans should put in some effort to see the underwear (lol). A good sitting figure would be GSC’s Yakumo and even Koto’s Vanilla H. Now those are class.

1-Indeed, Shana with her sword is much cooler
2-The hair is quite good. You’re taking Rider’s side too much LOL
3-All that said,I’m not buying the figure Neither the others from Shana. I would buy this one if it someday becames released on pvc

i think shana should never be put with sexy. she’s cute tho. and cool with her sword.
i like some of the ones with shana and sword, but sometimes they make it look like she isn’t strong or something

this one is like a different side of shana…

Do not use any < and > for your own sake. It will end the comment there and then. Also, there is an automatic IQ filter which weeds out comments made by those who accidentally got transported from the stone age.
