An Extreme Streak of Bad Luck

I was telling Tsubaki about my amazingly rotten streak of luck that started when the Zodiacs changed in the last lunar movement. It’s not over but getting worse…

I lost my tripod on my 2nd day in Australia. I rarely lose anything as I’m very careful with my belongings.

I lost my mp3 player in Australia.

I lost my hat in Australia.

It was a shitty 2 weeks of my life.

When doing a photoshoot with Solty, her arm came off and dropped deep between three large boulders. After half an hour of dirt digging blindly, I managed to get it.

I lugged a laptop around the whole of Saturday only to find that my mini USB cable was faulty and the laptop served no purpose. And I used that cable only once ever.

A group of religious fanatics were disrupting the Kamisaka Haruhi photoshoot.

I ran out of money. This isn’t luck I guess.

I probably forgot quite a few others. Anyway, I thought it was the end and was looking forward to a good festive season. But.

My dad is now undergoing a triple coronary artery bypass operation after suffering a heart attack. I was at the Intensive Care Ward the whole day. Now this is very bad. Chances are pretty good thankfully.

And then I got an email from Google saying they disabled my Adsense account. WTF.

To end off this rather random post, I have to say that nurses truly rock. I respect them a lot more than before now (most of my previous respect was from watching Yakin Byoutou).

I was going to point out that you forgot to add that it rained on the day we wanted to have shoots, but this post isn’t supposed to be funny eh?

I hope your dad’s okay. Cheer up! Every gray cloud has a silver lining. Your luck’s coming back.

Would condolences be too strong a word? Sorry if it is…

Hope your dad gets better soon, it’s always a VERY terrible stroke of bad luck for something like that to happen.

Wow, I think this is amazing. And I always think that I am an unlucky person. (By the way: Your life is eventful, at least that’s something *hrr hrr*)

I wish your father (and you) the best for the surgery. Good to hear that your chances are good ^^

    Hmm.. that sucks.

I suggest fapping over Yakin Byoutou to relieve the shittiness.

    >>Every gray cloud has a silver lining.

You sure that isn’t lightning? Better duck under cover.

And tj: Don’t worry too much about your dad. Sure, it’s the 21st century and we still rely on cutting people open to save them instead of other methods, but at least they actually have a good chance of recovery after that happens.

As for the stuff you lost, well, things can be replaced. A life can’t.

…ouch…now would be a good time to visit a temple, a fengshui master, or a exorcist…good respectable ones…best wishes for you father too…

everything you lost is material in nature and can be bought again. Doesnt feels good to lost stuff, but things like that happen.

However, I wish your father a speedy recovery after the surgery. Health and family are 2 things u cant recover.

and google adsense has always sucked.

Thanks everyone for your kind concern! Well, he’s in the operating theatre right now, I came home to get some stuff. And yeah, Yakin Byoutou really does show the great side of nurses doesnt it, Kuro? A new OVA seems to be coming out.

Rdrake: I may be wrong, but "condolences" seems to be used only for dead people.

  27. 27 yangyang 20 comments

Sounds like some real bad luck huh? Wish your dad all the best for his op and a speedy recovery.

  28. 28 Deathy 17 comments

Bugger about your Dad, hope it all works out for him. Thankfully that sort of operation is quite safe nowadays.

Know what you mean about streaks of bad luck, this year i have had my car actually blow up in a ball of flames, had a motorcycle accident which wrote off my bike and also myself, had a heart attack which again almost wrote me off. And recieved a notification saying i owe $2500 to the goverment due to my study load was insuffient for the funds i was receiving.

So i guess what im saying is always keep in mind luck will always change. Im waiting for my streak of good luck :o)

And yes Nurses rock, even if it takes a motorcycle accident and heart attack to find out how lucky we are to have them :o)

Woah, when it rains it pours. Best wishes for your family, I hope your dad is better now :)

  34. 34 tj_han 1442 comments

Just an update: He’s quite fine now albeit hurting from the op. We all know how life after painkillers suck.

DunkS0r: Wow that was some bad run of luck. Nurses are truly some of the the greatest females I’ve seen. We need more nurse anime RIGHT NOW.

  35. 35 Waterfall 122 comments

    Amen. Good nurses truly care.

  36. 36 Dunks0r 3 comments

tj_han: Hell yeah, just no hentai nurse ones :) Something like Honey and Clover but with nurse students would make a great series!

  37. 37 Reflection 16 comments

    It’s bad luck that.

As for Australia being bad luck, well….I live here in Australia, was born here, but want to live in Japan (may do it soon too), so it’s not like it’s a bad place! Just be more careful! ^^

As for your father, it’s great to know he pulled through. My father suffered through an operation to remove a melanoma, so know what life-threatening things are like to families. He’s fine too.

For nurses, they have to put up with some really bad people sometimes, especially those who work in nursing homes! All that crap….*_* But as for religious nuts, at least I collect figures too! ^^ (Done got religion myself). It’s all good! Keep up the good work, tj! ^_^
