Auron

Tidus

Yuna. Have you noticed that it’s arranged in order of coolness?

The Playarts series of action figures are pretty cool. In spite of their ugly joints and sometimes zombieish facial features. Beyond the Advent Children series, we have the FF VIII set of Squall, Rinoa and Selphie coming in April. Then following that in June, the FFX set of Tidus, Auron and Yuna. WHERE IS RIKKU and YUFFIE DAMN IT. That said, I like the characters that are coming out too, so I shan’t complain.

Do not be fooled by the nice faces in these photographs. They never turn out like that, save for Sephiroth’s. The girls generally get it worse and end up looking like dead bodies. But its ok, they are still cool and with the sure release of US versions, much cheaper yet larger than an average PVC figurine. FF fanboys will surely not miss this.

I bet the next series will be FFX-2, and featuring the three skimpily clad women. Hmmm.. I’ll surely buy that but I much prefer the original Rikku. Yuna should die.

Kill that monkey.

As for the final picture, it is a trading figure set set to be released in April by Square enix. Oh yeah the Playarts set is by Square as well. This is strange because I remember the AC series was produced by Kotobukiya. I could find out more but I couldn’t be bothered to.

I laughed when I saw Zidane from FFVIIII. Why waste a slot in a trading set on a halfassed character from a poorly-made game that had its budget cut and funds diverted for the sake of the FF:Spirits Within movie? But I want Rikku.

There are six figures and 1 secret.

    You mean FFVIIII=FFIX?

In any case i am also wondering why they put in Selphie from FF8… I mean come on they had MS WHIP QUISTIS and MS TRY TO ACT COOL RINOA.  I guess they just like girls that act cool after all.

I think you should have used your "speedgrapher" to show them the set of very, very, very, very, nice FF8 trading figurines locked up in the depth of your wardrobe.  Notice the heavy dose of sarcasm here. :D

Oh yeah I should. My very very worst figurine purchase ever… ok point taken.

Quistis and Selphie were my favourite in FF8. And yeah I suck at Roman numerals. No wonder I thought VIIII looked so weird and inefficient.

It’s FFIX not FFVIIII. Argh who cares, I’m going to buy FFIIIIIIIIIII to play online and I can’t wait to get my hands on FFIIIIIIIIIIII.And FFIX was good. The game wasn’t compromised. It’s the promotion budget that was cut. Notice they don’t have a PC version and no poster ads whatsoever? It didn’t get s much recognition it should’ve been given.

    Must…Get…Tifa…

And Auron, but Tifa first. I like the old-school white shirt Tifa.

I have Yuna in my room at home, being the only Final Fantasy figure i have at this moment!

She looks alright, occupying a place of honor at my workstation, but the joints are a bit too obvious though…

Do not use any < and > for your own sake. It will end the comment there and then. Also, there is an automatic IQ filter which weeds out comments made by those who accidentally got transported from the stone age.
