Ok, you know what, I hate Seed Destiny. But I do know Bandai will not stop the CE universe now that it’s so popular. We’ll just have to live with it. Kudos to Negoki for providing this scan from Hobby Japan, which I duly translated.

So we have a new Cosmic Era story, consisting of 3 x 15 minute episodes. That’s very short, so I’m hoping that it’ll be good. In fact, I do think that it’ll be good, because we do not have Kira and gang here. Read on to find out more.

Yup, it’s CE.

Kidousenshi Gundam Seed C.E. 73 Stargazer

Set right after the Junius Seven "Break the World" disaster, this short series features a battle between the 81st Independant Mobile Suit Squadron aka Phantom Pain and the Coordinators’ DSSD, which stands for Deep Space Search something.

The main mecha are the Coordinators’ GSX-401FW Stargazer, which is all white, and the GAT-X105E Strike Noir, which is really cool and black. As we all know, Noir is french for black. These Japanese love using words they don’t understand.

Story
Basically, I deleted my translation because it was cheesy. I’ll sum it up with one sentence - After Junius Seven, DSSD and Phantom Pain fight hard with powerful MS.

I’ll go into the details of the pilot and mecha. I do not think the Stargazer’s info has been released, I just have Strike Noir’s.

The characters are at the top left hand corner. Greedy Bandai has already started the Plamo production process for Noir.

I suck at romanising names.

• 28 year old woman
• Coordinator.

• Born and bred in space, she believes that humans must aim for space.
• She’s smart and strong.
• Hurray, no more 16-18 year olds lording over us, deciding the outcome of many worlds

Sven Kal Byan

• 20 year old, male.
• Natural.
• 81st Independant Mobile Squadron aka Phantom Pain Lieutenant.
• GAT-X105E Strike Noir Pilot.
• Forms a Tactical Squad with 2 other PP members.
• Holds a deep-seated grudge agaisnt Coordinators.
• Cold, heartness fighting machine.

Evil Machines are Cool.

This really evil looking MS seems just a bit too advanced for post-Junius Seven. It’s based on the Strike model of course, and comes with a Striker pack called the Noir Striker. It’s forte is close-combat. Phantom Pain don’t work alone, so it normally goes along with an upgraded Buster Gundam and an upgraded Dual Gundam for long range and short range support respectively.

Armaments are:

• 2 x Beam Cannons
• Spreadable Wings
• 2 x Swords
• 2 x Railguns ala Freedom

I’m not one who speculates in Mecha, so I’ll save you the details like how the SN is fitted with a blah blah OS and inferface, blah blah power source etc.
