Some nice pictures from Hobby Japan, of the upcoming Blood+ bust from Megahouse’s Excellent Model series. In spite of my being quite straight, I actually prefer Hagi to Saya. But Saya’s wicked katana rulzzzz.. it’s probably my favourite sword design, rivalling the Keyblades and Advent Children’s Cloud’s combining blade.
Anyway, this bust is really beautiful and is more than just a figurine. Busts and dioramas are always superior to mere posing figurines, as they convey a whole lot more emotion and are basically more alive. The painting on this one looks excellent too, with amazing detail on the clothes, hands and the base aka Hagi.
The scale is roughly 1/8 but the height is only 13 cm due to the pose. The ABS base looks fantastic too. Btw click on the bottom two pictures for links to a bigger version.
I will soooo buy this. Spend spend.
