   It’s like you booked a hotel room for 3 hours with your wife, for some private time. And she made you spend 2 hours and 45 minutes on washing up and foreplay, leaving 5 minutes for the actual pumping and 10 minutes to check out.

   I’m afraid that some people would argue this is not a good example of misappropriated time…

   It’s funny that you mention Agnes as a sniper. Despite being the captain of the gunpowder squadron, she basically took everyone out by stabbing them.

   I think they should make ZnT with nothing but comedy involving Louise getting jealous about Saito over every single thing. And end it with them living happily ever after. That’ll be so awesome.

   I cannot and will not forgive J.C. Staff for screwing this show up, just like that.

   For fuck’s sake, Saito going solo against and army of 70,000, just for Louise, is one of the most EPIC ever parts of the series and totally raised my respect points for him over my jealousy counter of his pimping skills.

   And yet, J.C. Staff had to bloody cramp everything in one episode, the Deus Ex Machina him back, w/o even revealing exactly how, only trying to fudge it with a random flash of “Boob boob Revolution” Tiffania, who is being voiced BY Noto-sama herself.

   I am so on the verge of tears now. Man, I wanna kill the production team.

   I like Zero no Tsukaima 1 alot but did not pick up Zero 2 though. The reason for me liking Zero 1 was because it was hilarious and I enjoyed every moment laughing my head off (which Zero 2 lacked).

   Maybe I should have pushed on and gotten past the first few boring episodes of season 2 so that I can better judge it for myself.

   well i actually liked it,
   i know it had its flaws
   But it still continues to be my favourite anime ever…and i have watched alot…
   Could be just because of how much I loved the 1st season but whatever…

   My only big flaw with the 2nd season is unlike the 1st season
   there was hardly anything to do with school, and it takes place in a magic school lolwtf

   Also, that whole void book revealed in ep 2 was pointless…
   ^^^
   on the other hand that gives even more assurance of a 3rd season…

   Anyway I enjoyed the show alot…CANT wait for 3rd season, but il have to

    To make Zero a better show, i suggest that they use more material like they did in episode 6 season 2. But actually make it real love, not just the princess using Saito.
    I really like ur review and it hits all the flaws. 5 stars

    there absolutely HAS to be a 3rd season, they left it as a sort of cliff-hanger effect.

    First of all, they have to get more into character with Tiffania ^^
    Second, they need to explain why the heck Saito really survived
    Third, the baddies aren’t dead yet, thusly so- they haven’t been defeated o_O
    Fourth, they just lost a major vantage point in war, they have to either a) take it back b) destroy the enemy’s base c) or just flat out lose/surrender the war
    Fifth, much like my earlier examples, they haven’t won the war yet, in fact they’re pretty much losing now

    yup, that’s all i can think of.. it’s all far too trouble ^^

    RAMBLE! RAMBLE!

    There just has to be season 3 i need some answers and more questions

    I want a little transformation from child to adult in witch saito has like angel wings and ability to morph that sword and as perverted as ever.

    Louis has to change in to a super busty older version with bad attitude to believe its her and kill that dumb joke.

    When they change i want some lover type future progression with a ring or ball and chain type thing, would the writer finally show them earth.

    With all this ramble i just want to see the writers image for his creation……….
    for the anime the team knows best just hope its good.

    True True. Third Season seems inevitable. But i still dont understand, if Void magic is so “awsome” why the fuck is it like a once ever 10 years type of thing (the big void boom boom). Also she has one spell and she only uses it once to despell that weird yellow haird princess lover. Also 70,000 people killed by one person and they r all at a magic school sulking over the death of 1 person? Hell if i was the queen id lay the smack down onto my enemy and destroy them in an instant. Then id go cry over the dead of “gods left hand” (Not the one he Jerks it with). Also why was Louise trying to destroy Saito right after he came back to life and they vowed to marry each other? Hello if shes so hot headed to be jealous over everythin marry his ass ASAP! Im lookin foward to the Third Season loved this Anime, Thus in conclusion Guiche sucks nuts cuz he is a playa.

    P.S On the Nya~~~ More Cosplay please1!!! And they should make the next season like a year or 2 in the future and Saito and Louise are deeply in-love and they sleep with each other not just together.

    I just finished watching it, I found it enjoyable, it’s kinda like Mahou Sensi Negima meets Love Hina. The last episode left me in tears also, there definently has to be a 3rd Season to answer some questions… Does Saito ever get back home? Does Louise fully acknowledge Saito? What happened to the Governer and what were her true goals? What the hell is with the Fairy that revived Saito and Guiche? Anyways I found it had a good story…can’t wait if/when the 3rd season come out!

    yeah, overall, its an ok story, and there’s a sputter of things i want to blurt out.

    1. most of the plot happened in the last half of the last episode in the 2nd season, so most of the episodes were pretty much fluff (to a point).
    2. there’s a whole case of Deus ex machina for Saito’s revival, leaving the explanation in the 3rd season hopefully (and they will indeed have a 3rd season without a doubt; the 2nd season left an even bigger cliffhanger than the 1st season did)
    3. the void book is only used in the 2nd episode for some odd reason (would of made Louise’s life easier later on in the season)
    4. Tabitha losing the ring seems odd because they could of just handed the ring back to the water spirit as soon as the group got a hold of the ring at the ending of the first season, but i guess the producers wanted the drag out the power of the ring for the next six seasons (cough cough) and the end credits for the first season is could be messed up for they might of put a non-cannon short with Tabitha holding the ring thinking that they might not make a 2nd season.
    5. i would of been much happier if they bunched up all the occasions of Saito’s pervertness and Louise’s whipping frenzies and divided it by 2, cuz i think they milked it way too much.

    zero no tsukaima is a kewl cartoon i really enjoyed both seasons and cant wait for the next, haha it reminds me of shakugan no shana although im still waiting for the next episode of that one but yeah hopefully they make a series 3 with more than just 12 or 13 episodes it should be more like 30 episodes or something then that would give more time to expand the story more and get more into it.

    ok well it seems that not many of you understands the true nature of series 2 of zero no tsukaima, the purpose of this series episodes was to prove the significance of fighting to protect the ones you love rather than honour or revenge. throughout each episode we see the nature of the nobles and what they believe and fight for while saito disagrees with them and tries to pursuade them that fighting and dying to protect their honour as nobles is stupid. while most of the plot of series two was squashed into the last episode, i believe that the true theme was fighting for the ones you love and want to protect hence saito fighting 70000 soldiers solo. this anime is truly a magnificant piece of work and i cant wait for the next series. also i do agree with ichigo that there should be more than 12 eps in each series but its really up to J.C.Staff…

    Well if they are going to release a 3rd season we will most likely find out by July ‘08, both the first (’06) and second (’07) seasons were airing from July to September. And indolnet (4), in episode 2 when Saito and Louise are flying to resuce the princess (right before the Zeros engine malfunctions) Louise makes a comment about them leaving the ring at the palace for safekeeping before they could return it to the water spirit.

    i don’t care what u guys say but i like louise character especially when she get’s nervous and stutters.. she’s cute (not really a fan of rocket boobs. i didn’t really bothered bout the comedy (most anime seems to lack that anyway last time i really loled was while watchin potemayo)

    scmark15 is prolly right, the third season will air around july next year looking at the pattern from the first and second season. There are deffinantely alot of loose ends that need to be fixed in another season, hopefully they will make more than 13 or so episodes aswell >_

    i must say that i really really liked this series!!!!and i was hoping for the third season!!!!

    i am soo happy knowing that there will be the next!!!!i can wait for another 6 months just to watch this….

    hmm…i also like louise’s charcter, showing someone you’re jealous about every little thing means you really care…season showed kissing scenes of louise and saitou…in the second season i would say the “boat scene” was a fast progression….i wonder….what would it be like for the third!!!!???

    but what i hate about saito in the 2nd season was….he was too perverted yes!!!!…liked him better during the first……

    Why do you people need an explanation for why Saito lived? Shes a fairy, shes magic, she probably teleported him to the forest with “magic”. Guiche was shown in the same forest as her when she healed him in his flashback so it makes since that she brought them there. What sense would it have made to heal him in the middle of a battlefield with thousands of archers and mages ready to kill again. And the reason he has a body to heal would be because she teleported him before it was destroyed. They can’t heal the dead.

    I have seen many good anime series..(One Piece,Bleach,Blood ..and more) but ZnT is a real sweet one I really hope i can see more of that… waiting for season 3

    Overall I disliked the second season much more than the first, though the last episode was very very touching up to the wtf deus ex machina moment. I also wish they expounded more on the the fight against 70000. Derflinger is pretty cool. There’s gotta be more to void magic and the Saito’s abilities since Der is always saying, “You were almost there,” and I’m looking forward to finding out more about that (hopefully in season 3?).

    However, I definitely agree that Agnes was an annoyance who had too much time wasted on her and her background. I would have really liked to see more involvement of Kirche, Tabitha, and even Guiche. They had almost zero involvement in season 2, making me rather sad.

    I also recently discovered that Zero no Tsukaima started out as a series of light novels like Suzumiya Haruhi, so I may have to see if I can find translations online and see if they follow the same plot. Though it’s just not the same as seeing it animated.

    Saito and Guiche died but ”they” made a ”promise”
    too the Water Spirit (that Elf for those who didn’t see that) that they would get that ring back.

    ..soo my gues is that they where brought back too complete that promise
    or whatever deal they made.

    I have to disagree with you, i find the humor quite entertaining, although they could have been developing the characters a little more. As for the ammo for the Zero, didnt you notice? They have guns. So it would olny make sense that they have ammo. Saito probably told them how it worked and that it needed larger rounds,

    Uum.. Yea. I also don’t want to wait for season 3. I liked season 2 because it had more..um..mush with Louise and Raito, but Siesta made me very angry. She didn’t seem like that in the first season… I mean, I didn’t like her then, but what. The. Poopie. That’s just sick. And too much breasteses distracting Raito! Poor Louise.

    Honestly, I just hope girls stop trying to harass in the third season. I also hope Louise stops being so abusive–it’s almost lacking character development. Gosh, the ending was so bad.

    I’unno. Season three just better kick season two’s butt. Whoever’s directing the next one needs to shape up, lol.

    In response to somakalo’s previous comment, I think that they overdid the epic aesop-ness of the honor vs. love theme, and it ended up becoming more of a Broken Aesop than anything else. While I realize it was important, and that Louise and Saito needed to come to terms with this for the amazing Saito vs. 70,000 Men sequence, I hate having to see my favorite characters become so disillusioned; it’s like watching a child you’ve known all your life suddenly grow up, without explanation, leaving you on the ground with your toys while they go off to college, somehow surpassing you. The characters all “lost their innocence,” so to speak, which tears at my heart a little. I wish they would have focused more on the themes of magic and kick-ass Gandalfr instead, but hey, I’m not writing the show.
    On another note, there was some “Schizo Tech” - Zero no Tsukaima takes place in a sort of D&D setting (with “modern” weapons only appearing through chance summonings, for the most part), yet there was an obscene amount of guns in this season. Hmmm…

    As for Agnes there’s a reason why she isn’t going to become an ace sniper. She’s using a 16th century musket, accuracy nonexistent. Why anyone even bothered inventing them when they have endless hordes of artillery mages is a mystery.

    I really liked the first season, and the second season was alright~ That last part of the final episodes (of the second season) was touchy though, but I think it would have been better if Saito didn’t ruin the moment…

    I love ZnT. It’s a really fun comedy, but as with most animes, they stretched the ‘main scenes’ (Whipping..).

    But, alas, this is ZnT in 20 words or less:

    Zero no Tsukaima isn’t even that great most of the time (due to overused jokes and comedy) but man, this scene was freakin epic. I didn’t even expect such a scene in an anime like ZnT. But Saito fighting an army of 70,000 is totally badass.
