I recently concluded a project for my Food Science module, which involved the modification of a current existing commercial food product. After 3 months of trial and error with various flour mixtures, flavourings and cooking techniques, here are the results. As you can see, it bears a striking resemblance to the starfish by Nagisa’s mom in Clannad. Oddly enough.

Our products aren’t bread though, they are donuts. They are claimed to be donuts, but in no way do they resemble, taste like or even smell like donuts lol.

It’s true that girls like star-shaped items. All the girls found it extremely cute.

You should take picture of the table including an open space next to it, so you can photoshop Fuko in there. :P

A sambal topped donut? Sounds a bit icky to me…Anyway it’s more of a cookie isn’t it? It’s kind of hard making star-shaped donuts, the shape will be sorta distorted when you fry the batter.

Actually, the sambal one was rather well-received by people who like chili. It looks a bit like a red moss version of the Swamp Thing, but I’m proud of it for the Yakitate Japan creativity.

PS: It’s more of a bread than a cookie. As I said, the cooking method was changed to baking. Technically, this doesn’t make it a donut anymore but we can call it whatever we like as long as nobody knows.

Lol, then you might as well as well give it some glittery, starry name instead of calling it a star-shaped donut then. As long as the samplers don’t end up like this

Do not use any < and > for your own sake. It will end the comment there and then. Also, there is an automatic IQ filter which weeds out comments made by those who accidentally got transported from the stone age.
