The title says it all no? I’m currently following only a handful of shows, and Clannad is one of them. Episode 17 shows exactly why.

The only reason I still watch Clannad is because of Kyou and Tomoyo (to a lesser extent). Okazaki is a cool male lead as well, who quite deserves the harem. Now that the lesser beasts like Fuuko, Nagisa and especially Kotomi have buggered off, the show is just getting better and better.

WHY? Because the characters no longer are little loliconic one-catchphrase retards masquerading as tragic heroines! Instead, we get intelligent, articulate and classy girls.

This year, I have finally understood what I really love in a girl and it’s not something uncommon. Starts with a T, ends with an E and has a SUNDER in between. LianYL pointed out that almost all my favourite females have been just that, such as Eri, Tatiana, Kyouyama Anna etc. Strange that I never noticed it before though. Is that why I was the only one who thought Tsuyokiss was a good show?

To end off this episode review, the new Riuva warcry goes like this, "KYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRR!!"

Well, after watching this ep I just have the urge to try and create images containing one special girl here.

And going to some freaky facts, I did name my laptop Kyou, wonder why :p if I had gotten her after ep 17 it would have been a no-brainer what to name her. Man this ep was worth it.

Kyou was really cute in this episode especially where She and Tomoya were trapped inside the school gym equipments storage. Tomoyo is/was cute too…

Kyou is the best out of them all..
Not just because she is a tsundere but also other good reasons too…
She is totally awesome in this episode..

And to the person who named his/her laptop ‘Kyou’..

I’m with you–Kyou, and Tomoyo when she actually gets screentime, are carrying Clannad for me. If Clannad was just Tomoya doing lawn and garden work all day, Fuuko making ugly stars, Kotomi wandering around barefoot in the library, and Nagisa blushing I think I’d have dropped this a hundred times over by now, but Kyou can carry it all by herself. It’s a crime we’ll get a Nagisa ending…

I agree on Hinano on how this is becoming a rather overdone nabe, it seems like Kyo-ani is getting very heavy handed with the plot-hammer…

Especially in Ep. 17, where there’s a Kyou/Ryou scene, immediately followed by a Tomoyo scene, after which Kyou appears again, etc… The only personal time our hapless harem lead has is when he hid in the club room away from his female “stalkers”… Even suspension won’t get him away from these ladies, in the Bizzaro-verse that will probably lead to… Sunohara ending

Also use of Fuko is becoming a bizzare non-sequitor, especially just before the fight (didn’t play the game, so I’m not sure if the scene is in there).

One totally unnecessary observation, the gym storeroom scene with Kyou gave me wood…

I regret reading the final line of the previous comment. I shall now wash my eyes and watch an episode of “boring”, maybe the latest naruto would help.

Am I the only one that thinks that even though the Fuuko arc sucked, her character pop-up scenes are witty and full of comedy?

Kyou-fanboys have probably self destructed by now from explosive nosebleeds…

Having Fuko just pop up before the fight scene just killed the tension, unlike the UFO catcher game and the escape from the Judo club captains, this was just… wierd…
